As we reflect on the past 7 years Prism Properties & Development has been in business we feel so fortunate that we have grown and continue to grow in the Real Estate and Property Management market. Owner/ President, Michael Calabrese, has been in real estate since 2001, starting in New Jersey and moving south in 2004. Owner/ Vice President, Brian Simpson, joined the “family” business in February 2009. We started out in the sunroom of our home trying to make it through a down market. Sales were not moving much at the time. Several of our Clients could not sell their property and were looking to us for direction. As a result, we ventured into Property Management to give our Clients the option of leasing their home until the market rebounded. We worked hard to make sure we provided quality and knowledgeable service. In 2010 we moved our office to a key man space in “The Offices” in the Lake Park Town Center. Sharing a small “green” office we continued to grow in Property Management while working sales through Coldwell Banker. We brought on our first part time staff member during this time. After reaching over 75 properties we expanded into a 500 square foot space in the LP Town Center with a full time team member. In the next 2 years with PPD growth and success we had the opportunity to hire another full time staff member. In January 2014 with 150 properties to manage and Sales beginning to increase we decided to bring Sales home to PPD and make a break from Coldwell Banker. Since that time we have been very fortunate to have expanded and grown in both Sales and Property Management. With 3 full time staff members and a Sales Agent it was time to expand again. On our 5 year “official” Anniversary we moved into 2,200 square foot of newly renovated Executive Office space on the second floor of the LP Town Center. While our roots have stayed close to home, our service and professional reach has grown throughout the Charlotte Metro area. We are excited to announce our expansion in to the Myrtle Beach, SC area in 2017. Without the support of our children during the early years; putting together mailings on the living room floor and staking flags out at mailboxes in the darkness of night, and our friends; always referring us to others and our family; always giving us motivation and support; we would not have been successful.
Success can be defined as the amount of revenue produced or money in the bank; we define success as making our Clients’ lives more fulfilled. We do this in a variety of ways; by helping Clients find the perfect home to meet their needs or helping them stage, market, and sell their property as jobs change and families grow. And finally, remove the stress of finding qualified tenants and leasing their property to reduce the worry of Clients’ financial security. KNOWLEDGE of the Real Estate market is key to financial profitability. However, UNDERSTANDING the needs of our clients is paramount to our firm’s success.
